Why would I do with Branded Templates?

Business operations often have a lot of repeat tasks, regardless of size or industry. These could be delivering courses that use the same material, or class structure. It could be writing proposals for similar packages, or sending a welcome letter to new customers. Naturally, you want to make the process as efficient as possible by using templates.

Each email, pitch deck, or letter is an opportunity for your customers to experience the essence of brand. Since you’re using these templates for a lot of output, they’re a prime touchpoint with which to connect with your customers and their values.

You want to make sure that these artifacts represent the heart and vision of your brand.

What are the benefits of bespoke templates?

You can purchase some really great digital templates from places like Etsy and Creative Market, for a really great price. If this is the right option for you, we can guide you on the most suitable creators you can buy from. However, having bespoke templates created especially for your brand have some key benefits.

Designs exclusive to your brand.

Unlike off-the-shelf templates, nobody else will have designs quite like yours, helping to differentiate your brand.

Your brand defines your templates.

When you use generic templates, you can end up bending your content to fit the template and diluting your brand.

Consistency across different uses and contexts.

Your design will be consistent across apps like PowerPoint (for proposals) and Canva (for socials).

Designed for how you work and create.

The content you create will have a certain rhythm, and we can design templates that match how you work.

Straightforward troubleshoot support.

Sometimes, you hit a snag with your digital file. We’re best placed to fix the problem – since we made it!

Detailed guide based on your brand identity.

Alongside template files, you will get a design guide that’s informed by your identity system, protecting your brand.

What kind of templates can I have?

In short… anything you want. If there’s a key asset that you use in your business over and over again, then it may be worth having that as a template. Below are some of the most common examples.

Presentation Templates

Powerpoint, Keynote, and Google Slides are great tools for creating a whole range of assets in addition to live presentations. They work well for creating visual proposals, written pitch decks, and basic photo slide shows for display.

Depending on what you use it for, we can create a bespoke template that gives you the best flexibility for your workflow.

Letterheads and Stationery

If you send printed mailouts (e.g. catalogs) or ship physical products, a cover letter is a great opportunity to connect with your customers. This is where your brand’s tone of voice can really shine, whilst creating an association with your brand’s visuals.

Brochures and Flyers

These templates are ideal for events-based businesses, where you have to refresh your print and digital collateral on a regular basis. It’s not only more efficient, but it’s beneficial for brand consistency to maintain the same layout time and again, whilst having the in-house capacity to refresh images and update dates and event titles.

Social Media Templates

All the effort that goes into creating content for your social media channels is about making sure that you keep adding value to your customers, and that that value is associated with your identity. Keeping brand consistency across all your posts is an essential investment.

Landing Pages

Unlike websites, landing pages guide your customers to a very specific product or service, without having to explore all aspects of your business. It showcases your offering and encourages a call to action such as to purchase a product, sign up for an event or book a call.

With such specificity and a lean amount of content, you want to make sure that the design speaks loud and clear about your brand, and that this stays consistent on such a key customer touch point.

Email Templates

Email marketing is great, because your message lands straight into your customers’ inbox, and you’re not in the mercy of the latest algorithm.

However, you are still competing for real estate, and there are so many promotional emails that get archived without being read. Make sure yours stand out with excellent copy and a beautiful design that hits the spot, every time.

Alright, I have a few questions.

Sure thing! We have put together some FAQs below, but if we haven’t answered your questions feel free to shoot us an email.

What if I don't have a brand strategy or identity in place?

We recommend starting with brand strategy and identity before investing in any further assets.

If you’re investing in digital templates, you want to make sure that they are aligned with the message and values you want to communicate to your audience.

For that, you need to be clear on your brand’s purpose, vision and values. Take a look at our ‘Brand Journey’ page, to see where you are in yours and how we can help you establish a clear brand strategy and identity system

Can you make templates just based off of my logo?

Technically, yes.

But there are many elements that go into designing templates – colours, fonts, tone of voice. All of this is derived from your identity system, which is deeply informed by your overall brand strategy.

It would really depend on what other assets you have in place that can inform a basic identity guide we can create and follow.

I don't have any design software. Can I still use these templates?

Yes.

Before we get to work on creating these templates, we will get to know your workflow including what software you are accustomed to.

If you’re starting from scratch, we can also recommend what software suites might suit you, depending on your budget and desired workflow.

My final design never looks as good as the mock-up. Why is that?

A template will guide you into creating a beautifully designed asset. However, you will need to apply your own judgement to make sure that your content fits within the template you’re using.

For example, a powerpoint slide template may be designed to display a high resolution photo accompanied with a one-line title and a 50-word paragraph. If you insert 150 words in that space, the template will try to accommodate your content but fundamentally it doesn’t work.

We will always make sure that we provide you with a PDF guide, video tutorials and a training session if required so you can make the most out of your templates.

I don't want anything bespoke, but can you help me choose from what's available in the market?

Yes, we can do that.

If you are on our Loyalty Club retainer, or have a current project with us, we can include a short consultation call to help you with this.

It still seems like a lot of work. Are you able to create the whole thing, including content?

Yes.

We would still collaborate with you to make sure that the templates we’re using are compatible with your workflow so you’ll always have the ability to edit or revise, and retain the template for future use.

You can find out more about how we can write your content, design your social media assets and print collateral.

What's the investment?

It depends on what kind of templates you need, how many, the clarity of your identity guide, your timeframe… and a multitude of other factors.

We have 3 different pricing structures:

  • Fixed Fee Projects – Perfect for deliverables that you’ll only need once like your brand strategy or identity system.
  • Loyalty Club – Our retainer model in which you can pay a monthly subscription of ‘credits’, that can be rolled over to the next month (up to 6 months). This allows you to spread the cost of long-term projects such as content creation, and website maintenance without having to over-pay for quiet months.
  • VIP Days – These are designed to give you our 100% focused attention over short period of time. This is perfect for projects that have a very tight turn around such as a product or event launch.

The best thing to do is book a call, and we’ll be happy to create a bespoke quote for you.
